Here's What To Expect With The 'Star Wars Battlefront' Bespin DLC

The latest addition to Star Wars Battlefront is coming June 21 for season pass holders, and now, fans have a better idea of everything they can expect when it arrives later this month. The DLC will take players to a number of iconic locations seen in The Empire Strikes Back, as well as add new weapons, heroes and vehicles.

Bounty hunter Dengar and savvy scoundrel Lando Calrissian were already confirmed to be playable in the new Bespin expansion, but now, there are a few more details on how each hero character will play. Dengar will be the first hero in Star Wars Battlefront bringing a heavy blaster into battle and is said to thrive on being in the thick of the fight. Lando, on the other hand, will resort to using tricks against his enemies, though he is also handy with a blaster.

For the first time in Star Wars Battlefront's DLC, a new vehicle will be added in the form of the Cloud Car. These vehicles can be seen zipping around Cloud City in Empire Strikes Back, and soon, players will be able to take control of them for themselves.

As for where players will be fighting, it looks like there will be a good variety of spaces from Cloud City included in the DLC. The carbon freezing chamber where Han Solo was famously turned into a wall ornament for Jabba the Hutt will be making an appearance. Players will also get the chance to explore Bioniip Industries and Cloud City's Administrator Palace.

Two new weapons have been confirmed for the DLC, but it sounds like players can expect more to be revealed soon, alongside additional Star Cards. The two new weapons revealed so far are the X-8 Night Sniper and EE-4 blaster. You can see one of the new weapons below.

More details are expected to arrive for the DLC soon. Season pass holders will be able to purchase the Bespin DLC for $15 starting July 5. It will be Star Wars Battlefront's second of four planned expansions, with the third revolving around the Death Star. The final expansion is still a mystery, but it seems safe to assume it might be Rogue One-related, given the expansion's winter release window and the spin-off film's December release date. Perhaps we'll learn more at E3 during EA's press conference next week.
