'World Of Final Fantasy' Coming To PS4, PS Vita In October: Check Out The E3 2016 Trailer [Video]

Get ready for a huge nostalgia bomb, as Square Enix is going to roll out World of Final Fantasy for the PS4 and PS Vita on Oct. 25 in North America.

To start things off, it follows the story of the twin siblings Reynn and Lann. In the game, players will guide the pair in their journey of recovering their lost memories in the land of Grymoire.

Throughout their quest, they'll come across a ton of familiar faces, including Cloud, Lightning, Squall, Quistis, Yuna and many others in shrunk and cutesy forms. What's more, they'll also bump into well-known Final Fantasy creatures, including the behemoth, cactuar and chocobo, to name a few. On top of that, the title features a new Active Time Battle system as well.

"There's a lot to love about World of Final Fantasy. If you're an old school Final Fantasy fan, you'll love the unique story, seeing all the legendary heroes together in a new (OMG they're so adorable!) way and experiencing a new strategic take on the Active Time Battle system that features stacking characters and monsters," Daniel Seto, Square Enix community manager, says.

As a treat of sorts, gamers who preorder the day one edition of World of Final Fantasy will get a special summon, and by "special," Square Enix isn't kidding around, as it's none other than the villainous and popular one-winged angel Sephiroth.

For the record, the game is scheduled to launch in Japan on Oct. 27 and in Europe on Oct. 28.

To keep fans on their toes, the video game company also published a new E3 2016 trailer, and this time around, it's in English. Check it out in motion below.

It should also be pointed out that Square Enix revealed World of Final Fantasy last year at E3 2015, which was followed by a trailer with English subtitles.
