EA Sports' FIFA 15 and Konami's PES 2015 are two football video games that will be locked in competition once they are released later this year.
The FIFA series is currently enjoying more popularity compared to its rival PES series, which stands for Pro Evolution Soccer. However, PES 2015 brand manager Adam Bhatti believes that the latest iteration of the PES series is much better than that of the FIFA series.
Bhatti had previously said that he thinks PES 2015, which is much better compared to all the previous games in the series, will be able to catch up to FIFA 15.
Bhatti recently tried a demo of FIFA 15, and said that he left unimpressed after playing the game.
Bhatti's views that PES 2015 is better than FIFA 15 continues in his Twitter account.
"If there's one thing you do, make sure you download the #PES2015 demo when it hits. Seriously, all football games right now don't come close," Bhatti tweeted.
"After some time with a certain football game *ahem*, clear to me now why we won best sports game. When PES is on song, no one can compete," Bhatti added, driving up hype for the football simulation video game.
PES won the best sports video game award at Gamescom 2014, proving its superiority over its FIFA counterpart. However, the FIFA series has enjoyed more success both commercially and critically.
If rumors are true that Konami will also release PES 2015 for the Wii U console, the game will have an advantage there as EA Sports has reported that it will not be releasing FIFA 15 in the flagship gaming console of Nintendo.
PCGames has analyzed and compared the PlayStation 4 versions of FIFA 15 and PES 2015 in terms of its graphics.
PES 2015 is running on the Fox Engine of Kojima, elevating the realism of the graphics on the football field with the goal of recreating the tension and drama that is often associated with the most important football games.
FIFA 15, on the other hand, is running on the Ignite Engine of EA, which brings the sport to life with so much detail that allows gamers to experience the on-field and fan emotions of football. Dynamic Match Presentation guides players through the game, accompanied by intense crowds and colorful commentators.
With the launch of both video games coming soon, early comparisons are making it too close a call on which one is the better game. Analysts will not be able to predict for sure until FIFA 15 and PES 2015 continue their rivalry once both are out in the market.
