It's a really good time to be or become a T-Mobile customer. In its latest attempt to sweeten its Un-carrier plan, T-Mobile is giving customers free gifts to show its appreciation.
T-Mobile CEO John Legere announced via live simulcast and social media on Monday the launch of Un-carrier 11, the latest customer appreciation program, which includes stock in the company and other stuff and prizes like free food, movies and more.
The best part is that all the freebies come at no additional cost, with no strings attached.
Free Stock
Arguably the best thank you gift on the list is the ability for customers to now own stock in the company.
"At T-Mobile, we already wake up every day working for our customers — so I've decided to make it official and turn T-Mobile customers into T-Mobile owners by offering them stock," Legere said in a press release.
T-Mobile introduced its new Stock Up rewards plan that offers eligible new and existing customers to receive shares. The free shares of T-Mobile's stock are $0.00001 per share, with customers being able to grow up to 100 shares per year for referring new customers.
Customers who are the primary contact of their postpaid smartphone account, and starting on Tuesday through June 21, Simple Choice customers who make the move to the Un-carrier plan and open a new postpaid account, will both quality to become T-Mobile shareholders.
These new shareholders are free to do what they want with the stock, including selling it or cashing in on it whenever they wish — which could be up to $4,200 in a year with the max recommendations based on T-Mobile's current share price — via the brokerage partner LOYAL3.
Also, owning a piece of the T-Mobile pie isn't the only freebie customers are receiving.
Free Pizza, Frosties, Movies And More
Legere also announced T-Mobile Tuesdays, a promotion where every week, recurring and surprise gifts will be given away to customers. The company has partnered with restaurants and brands to offer new free movies, gifts and more, including: Domino's Pizza, Wendy's, Buffalo Wild Wings, Fandango, Universal Pictures, StubHub, Lyft HotelTonight and more. New partners will continue to be added. The first T-Mobile Tuesday on June 7 will include free dinner and a movie, which consists of a medium two-topping pizza from Dominos, a small Frosty from Wendy's and a movie rental from Walmart's VOD service VUDU.
If you miss out on the deal this week, it will be there again next Tuesday. One customer will also be selected each week to win an even bigger prize, like this week's chance to win a private screening to see Warcraft with 40 of their friends on a party bus. The free food and prizes are offered to all T-Mobile customers, regardless if they have a postpaid, prepaid or business account.
Customers can claim their T-Mobile stock as well as their other free awards by downloading the new T-Mobile Tuesdays app available for iOS and Android.
Free In-Flight Wi-Fi
T-Mobile customers are also being gifted with free Wi-Fi for their smartphones for an hour when in-flight on a Gogo-equipped airline that is traveling to a domestic destination. The two companies are also teaming up to provide customers with access to iMessage, Google Hangouts, WhatsApp and Viber when in-flight so they can continue to communicate in air. This offer starts on June 13. T-Mobile previously launched in-flight texting capabilities with Gogo in September 2014.
These new free offers are part of T-Mobile's ongoing campaign to reward customers for staying loyal to its service. Other recent "gifts" include unlimited music streaming without using data from partners like Spotify in 2014 and the Binge On program that allows customers to stream video from services like Netflix without tapping into their monthly data.
