Marvel's 'Daredevil' Netflix series will not make the same mistakes as Ben Affleck's 'Daredevil' movie

Marvel is currently hard at work on its small screen adaptation of Daredevil, that crime fighter who is able to kick ass despite being completely blind. He's also known as the man without fear while some call him Ben Affleck.

The new small screen series has nothing in common with the film and will be exclusive to Netflix. Since the film was considered absolutely terrible by fans, folks have been wondering if the Netflix series will suffer a similar fate. However, Marvel television executive Jeph Loeb made sure to come out in an attempt to calm fears by stating that Daredevil on Netflix will be much better when compared to Daredevil on film.

The film, by contrast, made a lot of mistakes where the story and plot were concerned. Furthermore, many of the actors did a terrible job in their roles, especially Colin Farrell who played BullsEye and Jennifer Garner who played Elektra.

Ben Affleck as Daredevil was fine, no seriously, he was fine. Unfortunately, he caught a lot of heat for the failure of the film by fans from all walks of life.

"When we started talking to our actors and to our directors, this is with all due respect to the film, if you want to know what we're not doing, go watch the movie," said Loeb. "If you want to know what we're doing, it's very much steeped in the world of the comics, but it also has a life of its own and that's really what television and our films really do is that we take the best ... We hope, and we're very confident that this is the beginning of something that's very exciting on Netflix."

Loeb also went on to state that Daredevil shares the same universe as the Avengers, but fans shouldn't expect the man without fear to be joining the Avengers anytime soon. While the character is very skilled, he's not cut out for fighting aliens and the many super-powered freaks in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Daredevil is still in production and scheduled for a 2015 release. Charlie Cox is the person to play the man without fear, while Vincent D'Onofrio from Men in Black will take on the role of King Pin.
