Great news, PlayStation Nation!
The PS4 game Paragon has a new hero who can bring havoc to the opposing team. The latest addition to Paragon's hero base is a cyborg named Riktor, which the developers introduce as a Support Tank. On May 31, an update to the game will make the new character playable.
You should know that Riktor is a melee character with an imposing stature that fits best in the role of tank, and his abilities give him versatile crowd control potential.
Riktor packs a strong initiator ability that can clear the battlefield by binding targets, pacifying the enemy team. Taking inspiration from the Pudge character of Defense of the Ancients (DotA, for friends), Riktor has an electric chain that can be used to hook and pull in enemy Heroes and/or minions.
Using the chain does damage to the target and can be deadly if used in combination with other skills/friendly heroes' abilities. Tapping into the Shock Therapy of the new character makes sure that the enemies are silenced and become unable to cast their own abilities for a period of time.
His ultimate is frightening to look upon: by throwing out a web of chains, the Skewer Ultimate damages and stuns everyone in Riktor's path.
As a reminder, every Hero in Paragon is free to play. This means that Early Access subscribers can get their hands on Riktor's electrifying gameplay this Tuesday. Those who are not part of the relatively small group of early access members can get a Founder's Pack and jump right into the intense Paragon action.
Earlier this month, Paragon unveiled another character, the high-tech GRIM.exe. Check it out in our previous coverage.
Epic Games is the company responsible for Paragon, a vivid and fast-paced free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena game (MOBA).
The company took part in both the development and publishing process, and gamers can expect to see the title roll out on PC and PlayStation 4 in the following months.
A special note goes to the fact that Paragon makes use of Unreal Engine 4.
