VR Game 'Fated: The Silent Oath' Officially Launches On Steam And Oculus

Fated: The Silent Oath is a virtual reality game from Frima Studio and the title will be supported on multiple headsets.

The plot of Fated: The Silent Oath introduces gamers to a quest to rescue their family from imminent destruction while the immersion from the VR is putting emphasis on the "emotional journey."

The game is a first-person virtual reality action adventure, and it will be available on a number of VR headsets.

The action takes place in an ancient, Viking-populated world, where the whims of the gods intertwine with the harsh lives of average people. Icy giants are ready to destroy the universe, and Fated tells the story of a husband and father who must take his family to safety.

In Fated: The Silent Oath, visual quality synergizes with smooth game mechanics and strong story-driven narrative. The developers take great pride in delivering a game that "focuses on emotion over gameplay."

As Frima Studio points out, a number of its team's members are dedicating their full time to make Fated the best possible product of its kind.

Frima Studio made an appearance at the PAX East 2016 game show, where it showcased the upcoming game and players were able to get a full 4D experience out of it. At their booth, the developers crafted the game testing seat so that it resembles the carriage from the game. The carriage was connected to fans and air humidifiers so players would feel like they were actually going near waterfalls. The static carriage also packed vibration units under the seat, giving an accurate feeling of what it is to drive through rocky roads.

The VR game is now available, and yo ucan get it either from Steam or from the online store of Oculus.

Owners of HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and PlayStation VR headset will get to embark on the adventure. While the first two devices are already out and about, Sony should launch the PlayStation VR later in October. Here is a comprehensive comparison between the main VR headsets, so you know which one best fits your needs and budget.
