'Orange Is The New Black' Season 4 Trailer Brings Pain And Tears To Litchfield

Although much has changed at Litchfield prison, much is also the same: there's still heartache, pain and a lot of suffering.

A new trailer for season four of Orange Is the New Black highlights much of that pain and suffering, as the inmates deal with living in a for-profit institution, which means that new inmates will keep arriving by the dozen. This leads to overcrowding, high tension and a lot of stress for the existing women imprisoned there.

The trailer opens with Piper stating that she no longer feels safe, and that sets the tone for the season. Sure, the expected humor is also present, but things at Litchfield are about to get worse, as if that were even possible.

It seems that things are about to get so bad that war will soon arrive at Litchfield and "some will fight" and "some will fall." But who?

Please note that the following trailer is not safe for work.

This season also brings some new COs to the prison, and these new officers aren't quite as nice as the previous (in fact, some of these new officers make Mendez look like a saint). That's only going to add to the tension now gripping Litchfield.

This new trailer also reveals the fate of Sophia, although last season's finale left her future hanging in the balance. There is, though, no sign of Bennett, who seems MIA again this season. There's also no sign of Stella.

For Alex fans, though, it seems that she is definitely back, and hopefully, didn't get into too much trouble after her season finale shenanigans. That means that we'll see more of her relationship with Piper in season four.

"The Alex and Piper relationship is so awesome," Laura Prepon, the actress behind Alex, said to E! "It's so tumultuous ... they love each other a lot. It's this crazy relationship, there's never a dull moment. I don't know if two people like that could ever ride off into the sunset, but we'll see what happens in season four. There's no shortage of stories to tell."

The trailer also features Judy King, Litchfield's answer to Martha Stewart, who has a larger role to play this season.

Season four of Orange Is the New Black premieres on Netflix on June 17.
