Turn Your Trampoline Into An Outdoor Interactive Gaming System With Tgoma

In an attempt to get your kids to play outside and be active, you probably are willing to make a few backyard purchases like a basketball hoop, swing set and even a trampoline. However, it seems like it's only a matter of days before they become bored of it and you find them back to doing their favorite activity: lounging on the couch with snacks while playing video games.

Now, kids will be encouraged to go outside and "exergame" using this trampoline that serves as an outdoor interactive gaming system.

Springfree Trampoline founder Steve Holmes launched a new company and its first product on Monday called tgoma, which stands for "take gaming outside and make it active."

Tgoma is an exclusive product for Springtime Trampolines that is sold as both a separate accessory and comes integrated into all of its new models of trampolines. It includes sensor technology and an algorithm that tracks a user's exercise movement on the trampoline, including speed and the amount of time between jumps.

The sensor is placed on the base of the trampoline, and the user attaches their tablet into the screen slot, which serves as a monitor for the games. Download the accompanying free app for iOS or Android to be able to start jumping to the games.

"Our goal is to shift kids' behavior from indoor sedentary play to outdoor active play," Holmes said in a press release. "Instead of fighting technology, it's about leveraging it to transform 'screen time' from an isolating, sedentary activity to a healthful, engaging experience for the entire family."

The tgoma platform consists of seven interactive games that range from educational to just plain old fun. These include Math Hopper, which teaches mathematics to young children, and Stickers, where kids create shapes and sounds.

Alien Stomp is the game similar to whack-a-mole and Whatzat? and has the jumper creating their own games starring dinosaurs or located at a farm.

While these games are tailored for younger jumpers, older children can play games like Fruitant, where they overcome challenges from mutant fruit. Adults can even get in on the action in 2048, which helps the jumper exercise their body and mind and tap into tgomaFit, the interactive exercise experience where they can see their jumping stats, energy burned and set new goals.

The games are played by jumping on the trampoline and using the player's jump location to control the games on the tablet.

The system provides a fun way for the whole family to work out and remain active outdoors.

Springfree Trampoline's best-selling Jumbo Square Trampoline retails for $2,599 and comes with a tgoma unit, whereas a Medium Round Trampoline costs $1,749. Tgoma costs $499 separately.
