Vine rolled out a dedicated Windows 10 app and the software comes with neat new features.
Windows Phone owners toyed around with a Vine variant for two years now, but today's release is aimed at PCs and tablets that run on Microsoft's latest OS. Along the regular Vine features, a few additions are in store, such as the ability to upload content directly from the PC.
By browsing the Explore tab, users may peruse vines from various categories such as Sports, Dance, Music and Comedy. Those on the lookout for fresh trends can watch viral Vines in their prime. If you like a particular content creator, you may follow them to keep up to date with their work.
It should be noted that no Vine account is necessary to enjoy the short clips content.
Embedded in the app are familiar Windows 10 features. For example, users get access to an adaptive UI, Drag and Drop, and Live Tiles. To have rapid access to your favorite Vine accounts and channels, simply pin them to your Start menu. The Live Tile will display a preview of the latest Vines, should you choose to pin an account.
Users can make Vine loops and forward through it via mouse-over or touchscreen.
The creativity of Vine users will be put to good use by downloading the Vine for Windows 10 PCs and tablets from the official page.
In April, Vine announced another feature that caters to its viewers' comfort.
"Our latest design introduces a 'Watch' button that lets you kick back and see the story of a channel as Vines automatically play back to back," Vine says. The company explained that once users find a channel that they enjoy, they will watch it back to end.
Before Watch landed on the platform, users had to manually scroll through various libraries, individually choosing the videos that interests them. Vine's mobile experience gets translated into more fun, but on larger mobile devices and desktops.
Vine clips contain 6 seconds of video footage and are a great source of entertainment. For content creators, they can turn into a profitable business, especially after the introduction of the automated play button.
