There is nothing worse than reaching the most suspenseful part in the Netflix series you are streaming when all of a sudden the video starts buffering. You exit full screen and see that your Wi-Fi has lost connection. You try to reconnect, but even if you get back on, it's not before long until it starts acting up again.
After trying to figure out the problem (by just disconnecting and reconnecting a few times), there is only one solution left: resetting the router.
But this means getting up to manually fix the issue. And when you're a good 4 hours and a few slices of pizza in to your binge watching, that's pretty much the last thing you want to do. Sure you could yell for someone to do it for you, but then you realize it's just you home alone with your cat - and your cat is too selfish to help anyway.
What you really need is this nifty little smart plug to solve the problem.
ResetPlug resets your router for you automatically when it detects that your Internet has stopped working. This outlet adapter gets plugged into the wall and then the user plugs their Wi-Fi router/modem into ResetPlug.
It then monitors your Internet connection, so that when the Wi-Fi is down, it knows to reset. ResetPlug will continue to reset the router every 5 minutes until the Internet is back up and running so you don't have to keep running back and forth to check if you are back online or not.
Great for never having to leave your bed when watching Netflix on your laptop, ResetPlug makes sure that all your Wi-Fi-enabled devices - such as smart appliances, security cameras and the like - continue to work.
Since ResetPlug is always checking that the Wi-Fi is working, it features LED lights that reveal the current status of the Internet. When the light is blue, the user's Wi-Fi is working just fine. But when it's blinking blue, the smart plug has detected an issue and is restarting.
ResetPlug retails for $59.99, which may seem like a lot to some, but is a price to pay for laziness. At least, with this plug, you will know that your IoT devices are working no matter what when you are away from home for a long period of time.
