It seems to be a thing now where creative gamers use new video games to recreate scenes from famous bits of pop culture.
For example, just last week, a gamer recreated the iconic “Seinfeld” apartment and the show’s characters in “The Sims 4” just days after the game’s release.
Now a gamer has recreated the opening sequence of Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” film where Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord character grooves to Redbone’s “Come and Get Your Love.” And he recreated it in Bungie's high-profile hit game, Destiny.
The new shooter from Halo developer Bungie was just released on Tuesday, September 9, and that was apparently more than enough time for YouTube user Somewhat Awesome Games to create this tribute to the “Guardians” scene.
Activision, the game’s publisher, claims that $500 million worth of games were sold to retailers, making Destiny the biggest new game franchise launch in history. Check out the glorious mash-up below.
