The LG-made Google Nexus 5X is now selling at a jaw-dropping price of just $240 on eBay, but supplies may not last for long.
The price is for the unlocked Nexus 5X in black, with 16 GB of built-in storage. The offer does not apply to the white or mint versions of the smartphone.
The Nexus 5X eBay deal is from a top-rated seller with an overwhelmingly positive rating of 98.3 percent, and it also includes free shipping across the United States.
As a reminder, Google launched the Nexus 5X, made in collaboration with LG, back in October 2015, alongside the Huawei-made Nexus 6P. The 5X model is the lower-specced of the two, but it can still hold its own.
Although the Nexus 5X saw various enticing discounts since its release, this $240 offer on eBay marks one of the lowest prices so far for a brand-new unit. The Nexus 5X is currently one of the best mid-rangers on the market and it's quite a great bargain at this price.
As with many great deals, however, there is a catch or two. First of all, this is a GSM model compatible with AT&T, T-Mobile and other GSM carriers, but it only supports AT&T's 4G. This means that T-Mobile customers only get 3G. Secondly, the seller doesn't offer any warranty for the handset, so you'd either have to get some device protection plan on the side, or pay for potential repairs out of your pocket.
Still, a 30-day money back or replacement policy is in place, though in this case buyers will have to pay for return shipping, and a 20 percent restocking fee may apply.
The Nexus 5X itself is a solid mid-ranger with a 5.2-inch full HD display, a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor, 2 GB of RAM, a 12-megapixel main camera and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner among the highlights. The smartphone served as one of the launch vehicles for Android 6.0 Marshmallow, rocking the latest OS out of the box.
If you're tempted by this attractive offer despite the couple of drawbacks, head over to eBay and take advantage of this deal while it still lasts. The seller notes that only limited quantities are available, and nearly 300 people are keeping an eye on this deal every hour.
