Every time one of these Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remakes in Unreal Engine 4 hit the Web, fans can't get enough. Each one is so gorgeous and so faithful to the original game that it's only natural for Zelda fans to crave more.
Creator CryZENx keeps on delivering. We've featured his work numerous times before, as he's crafted stunning recreations of Ocarina of Time's Death Mountain, Zora's Domain, the Temple of Time and more. Now, CryZENx is back with a full-blown reimagining of the game's Gerudo Valley location, and it's simply more than we can stand to take.
From the wind blowing sand across the landscape to the incredible display in a nearby waterfall, this is among one of CryZENx's most impressive remakes yet. However, not only does he manage to visually recreate the iconic environment and improve upon it, but he has also nailed Link's movement, the Z-targeting system and more. Though it might not have enemies, this is a fully-playable environment that looks and feels just like the original. There is even a Gerudo warrior with whom to hang out.
With so many locations now finished, it begs the question as to why CryZENx doesn't simply create a full-blown playable Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake. Yes, there is the potential for legal trouble, as we've seen with other recent Zelda tributes. However, putting a full game together seems like the most obvious next step for the creator, and one that more than a few gamers would love to download and play.
If nothing else, maybe such a creation would cause Nintendo to take notice (if it hasn't already). Fans loved the Nintendo 3DS Ocarina of Time remake. The improved visuals and small refinements improved upon a game many view as nearly perfect to begin with. With that in mind, it seems like a no-brainer that Nintendo might want to consider a remake for the Wii U or future home consoles. It could certainly happen one day, but for now, we will simply have to keep looking forward to more of CryZENx's phenomenal work.
