How Will The Power Struggle Between Shane McMahon And The Authority Play Out On Raw?

Few members of the WWE Universe would dispute that Shane McMahon has put on a great show, pulling the strings of Monday Night Raw for the past two weeks.

Well, WWE.com seems to be teasing to Shane-O-Mac possibly running into some problems attempting the same tonight via an appearance by The Authority.

"We haven't seen The Authority on Monday night's hottest show since WrestleMania, and Triple H and Stephanie McMahon surely have some strong opinions about Shane-O-Mac's job performance," WWE's website posted Sunday. "Will we see WWE's Prodigal Son reign once more, or might The Authority put a stop to Shane's tenure as Raw showrunner?"

Fresh off of the Raw after WrestleMania, we predicted that Shane would run into some turbulence from The Authority over the control of WWE's flagship show ... and it looks like that static will come tonight.

In his two weeks in charge, Shane-O-Mac has done everything from setting up a thrilling Fatal 4-Way matchup between AJ Styles, Kevin Owens, Cesaro and Chris Jericho to leading an influx of NXT talent onto the main roster, including that of Apollo Crews and the tag-team of Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady. Last week, he even set up a No. 1 Contenders' Tag-Team tournament, sponsored by, what else but Booty-O's.

An impending power struggle for Raw between Shane and his sister Stephanie and brother-in-law Triple H will easily play out as must-see WWE TV with each side lobbying to gain footing over the other and making each other's lives difficult in the process.

The put downs and insults traded between Shane and Stephanie, alone, will be incredible to see. Not to mention, it will be interesting to see if Shane could do anything to sway his father, WWE CEO Vince McMahon, with some of his moves. Also, would Linda McMahon ever reassume her position within the storylines?

Remember that it was Mr. McMahon would went against his word during the Raw after WrestleMania — where Shane lost to The Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell match — putting Shane-O-Mac in charge to see what he's capable of. Well, Shane has dazzled at the reins of Raw ... and we'll see what Stephanie and Triple H, appearing on the show for the first time since losing to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, has to say about it.

Let the games begin.
