The Division Falcon Lost Exploiters Beware, Ubisoft Will Swing Ban Hammer

The Division players who abuse the exploit in the Falcon Lost Incursion will face an "account suspension or revocation," losing access to their characters either temporarily or permanently.

Since the major update 1.1 for the open-world shooter rolled out a week ago, Ubisoft has been treading on a bumpy road filled with missing characters, faulty matchmaking and exploits, and this particular instance is arguably the biggest one so far.

Needless to say, the gaming company is giving out a warning to would-be abusers and advising them not to partake in the whole balance-breaking deal.

"We are working on fixing the exploit. Obviously it is against our Code of Conduct and the team is looking into what can be done in terms of punishment for those who have exploited," Natchai Stappers, a community manager at Ubisoft, says.

For the uninitiated, the exploit allowed players to breeze through the Incursion and reap all the benefits of accomplishing it without lifting as many muscles as they should have. In other words, they can potentially collect endgame gear quickly and easily without breaking a sweat.

Meanwhile, players are expectedly not standing for it, saying that the developers should take the blame and not dish out the punishment on them. They also point out that the Code of Conduct isn't exactly readily available in the game and that a permanent ban is too harsh.

The best thing for the company to do here is to probably release a fix as soon as possible and just strip away all the ill-gotten loot that cheaters have amassed, but if that's the case, all the abusers right now are just making the jobs of the developers a lot harder than they need to be.

What do you think of Ubisoft's plan to punish The Division players for exploiting the Falcon Lost Incursion that's essentially the company's fault in terms of design and coding? Let us know in the comments section below.
