The tributes for Kobe Bryant have been raining down on the NBA legend, whether it's more than 300,000 tweets being sent out using the #MambaDay hashtag on Twitter or the personally-penned letter from Magic Johnson to his fellow Los Angeles Lakers' great.
Everything will lead up to tonight in what's sure to be a final farewell for the ages, when the Lakers honor the five-time NBA champion before and after the last game of his legendary career.
Not wanting to be left out is NBA 2K, which used Mamba Day to mention that it will be putting out an exclusive NBA 2K17 Legend Edition, with none other than Bryant gracing the cover.
If there's anyone who deserves the nod of respect from NBA 2K, it's Bryant. The video game developer counts the future Hall of Famer as one of the few NBA stars to have been featured in every installment of its NBA 2K series, including the current NBA 2K16.

Preordering the Legend Edition with Bryant on the cover will land gamers with everything from a limited-edition poster of Bryant to a Black Mamba controller skin and two panini Kobe cards. Digital items they'll receive also include 30,000 dollars in virtual currency, a MyTEAM Bundle+ pack with a guaranteed Bryant free-agent card, a 2K Kobe XI shoe, a No. 8 Mitchell & Ness throwback Bryant jersey and Bryant hoodie.
It's fitting that Bryant will get an on-the-court tribute with several NBA and Lakers' greats in attendance at Staples Center tonight, where the legend will face the Utah Jazz in his final game. But it's also fitting that he's currently being saluted on social media and with this NBA 2K17 Legend Edition cover.
After all, we're talking about a five-time NBA champion and former league MVP with 18 All-Star Game selections to his name and being third on the all-time scoring list.
An incredible 20-year run to say the least.
