Fans have been patiently waiting to see Benedict Cumberbatch's transformation from the brilliant but conceited surgeon, Dr. Stephen Strange, to the mysterious and powerful Doctor Strange and our patience have been rewarded two times over because a new poster and the world premiere of the film's trailer were unveiled in one go.
The British actor appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live on April 12 to promote his children's parties gig- rather, to attempt and ultimately fail to correct Kimmel's understanding of who he is and what kind of heroism he does.
The nearly two-minute trailer begins with a car crash and a voiceover advising Stephen Strange to forget everything that he thinks he knows. The scene then switches between Stephen Strange's travel to mystical places and hospital scenes-both as a surgeon and as a car crash survivor being wheeled in-as the voice of The Ancient One, played by Tilda Swinton, tells him that the reality he knows is only one of many.
We then see a montage of Stephen Strange's journey from a broken surgeon who can no longer save lives because of the car crash to one who is willing to be taught the mystical arts to save lives. There's also the bonus of having Inception-like visual effects and Matrix-like moves.

But as we mentioned earlier, there were two treats unveiled for Doctor Strange, so here is the other one: a new poster featuring Benedict Cumberbatch as an already trained Doctor Strange.
The trailer and poster definitely look Strange and awesome but Director Scott Derrickson admits that he sought the assistance of Guardians of the Galaxy Director James Gunn to make it happen.
"I got notes on the Doctor Strange script from James Gunn, and I talk to him every once in a while, ask him questions," Derrickson revealed.
Doctor Strange appears in cinemas in this reality on November 4.
