If you have ever wanted to go on extreme adventures, now you can, at least vicariously.
A man named Sam Cossman decided to join an expedition into a volcano. And he filmed it all so we can experience it from the comfort of our sofa.
Starting from his home in California's city of San Franciso, he traveled to the archipelago nation of Vanuatu. The expedition went to the island of Ambrym, to the Volcano named Marum.
For the expedition, it wasn't enough to get to the top of the volcano and look down. The group traveled down the paths inside the volcano, and then climbed down to get as close as possible to the actual lake of lava at the center. Once they are that close to the molten lava, people have to wear reflective suits to lessen the heat hitting them.
The expedition Cossman joined was led by Geoff Mackley, a freelance photographer knownfor taking photos and videos for news stories, including natural disasters such as hurricanes, cyclones, typhoons, tornadoes and the like. Mackley was the star of a 39-episode reality show on Discovery Channel called "Dangerman."
Sam Cossman is clearly a lover of natural exploration. Another video of his on Vimeo has him swimming with sharks and exploring underwater caves off the coast of Isla Mujeres, near the Yucatán Peninsula, in Mexico.
