With just a day to go for the slated release of the Meizu Pro 6, the latest leak has revealed almost everything about the model.
After the launch of Meizu's m3 Note last week, the phone maker is ready to host the launch of its 2016 flagship model, Pro 6, in China on April 13. But it looks like it will have to work on some (seemingly) new content to keep the crowd engaged as the leaked images have already said it all.
Specifications
The product description and images that have surfaced online through a Russian source hint at a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED panel with 3D Touch display, giving it an iPhone 6s-like appearance. The 21-megapixel camera has a 10-LED flash and laser autofocus, and is paired with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video chats.
Supported by ARM's Mali-T880MP4 GPU and 4 GB RAM, the handset sports MediaTek's MT6797T (Helio X25) deca-core chipset that houses two Cortex-A72 cores of 2.5 GHz, four Cortex-A53 cores of 2 GHz, and another four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at a maximum 1.4 GHz.
With an internal storage of 32 GB, the handset does not indicate any slot for further memory expansion, though it supports dual SIMs and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow under the company-customized Flyme OS. The usual suspects - Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS - are obviously on board as well.
AnTuTu Score
A further spoiler in the form of AnTuTu score has been let out by the same source. Scoring 91,165 points in the popular benchmarking app, the Pro 6 zooms ahead of the Pro 5 but is still way behind its competitors like the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, which scored 134,599 points and the Xiaomi Mi 5 with its 136,875 points, although it is close to Huawei Mate 8, which scored 91,157 points.
This is not the first time the Meizu Pro 6 images and specifications have leaked online. A week back, we had reported about the previously leaked images and description.
Now with barely a day left for the official launch, fresh information is out in the wild, and with updated details, leaving no scope for a 'wow' moment at the unveiling. Nonetheless it would be interesting to see how much of the leaked online spoilers match the real thing.
