The HTC 10 isn't out just yet, but the promo trailer of the flagship device certainly is.
HTC's flagship is set to debut tomorrow, and amidst all the leaks leading up to its launch, this is the biggest one yet.
The leaked teaser trailer reveals HTC's flagship in full - front, back, top, bottom, left, and right. All of it. And it pretty much confirms everything we've learned about the device so far as well.
The video begins with a rectangular block of metal getting cut into the shape and form of the the HTC 10. As the flagship smartphone begins to take form, its rear edges get layered off further to give the back of the device a chamfered look and feel. That design feature should make the HTC much easier to hold.
Besides the usual "HTC" laser-engraved branding on the back, a single camera sensor is revealed along with the accompanying flash module. No twin camera set up here. There is, however, a slight camera bump just like on most flagship smartphones on the market. Finally, horizontal antenna bands run across the rear near the top and bottom of the device.
On the bottom of the HTC 10, in the center, is a USB-C port for charging the phone. To the right of the charging port are downward facing speaker grills. That being the case, it might be true that the HTC 10 will indeed not feature front facing speakers. That would be quite unfortunate as the original HTC One pioneered the feature and helped make the flagship lineup stand out.
The right of the HTC 10 holds the sim card tray. Whether it will also support an SD card in the same compartment is yet unknown, but it certainly would be a much appreciated feature by HTC fans and non-fans alike. Beneath are the volume rockers keys, and right next to it is what looks like a textured power button.
Finally, on the front of the HTC, is what should be its 5.2-inch QHD display with a 1,440 x 2,560 resolution. Beneath the screen is a lone physical button that looks nearly identical to Samsung's home button. It will probably also support fingerprint recognition.
The leaked video is embedded below, so check it out. It's certainly not a standout trailer of the device, but as a teaser, it works. Of all the colors available (there are three of them revealed at the end), the black one looks to be the most desirable version yet.
