Don't Like The iPhone SE? Here Are Some Smartphones To Consider: LG G4, Galaxy S6, Nexus 5X

Apple has launched and released the 4-inch iPhone SE. However, not everyone likes the latest Apple offering.

The iPhone SE has impressive features and some of its specs are at par with the flagship iPhone 6s. The smartphone has a powerful A9 processor, 12-megapixel rear-facing camera and fingerprint scanner. The phone runs on Apple's latest iOS 9.

The iPhone SE is available in 16 GB and 64 GB internal storage options and has a starting price tag of $399.

Despite the top-end features of the iPhone SE, many people may not want to use the new iPhone. Here are some alternatives to the iPhone SE.

LG G4

The LG G4 is the flagship LG smartphone of 2015. The handset has high-end features, which has impressed many customers. The LG handset sports a 5.5-inch Quad HD display with 1,440 x 2,560 pixels resolution.

A powerful hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor and 3 GB of RAM powers the device. The LG G4 has 32 GB of on-board storage with the option to expand the memory to up to 2 TB with a microSD card.

The LG G4 is equipped with 16-megapxiel rear-facing and 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

"Photographers and amateurs have something new in common: the LG G4. With its f/1.8 low-light lens, Manual Mode, Optical Image Stabilization, Laser Autofocus, and high-res image sensors, the smartphone is finally getting a pro-grade upgrade," says LG.

The LG smartphone comes running on Android 5.1 Lollipop but the handset has received Android 6.0 Marshmallow software update.

The launch of the LG G5 has resulted in the price of the LG G4 to go down. Customers can buy the phone from Best Buy for $1 on a two-year contract and for $379 outright.

Galaxy S6

The Samsung Galaxy S6 is the predecessor of the Galaxy S7 and it was one of the most-popular smartphones of 2015. The popularity of the Galaxy S6 may have reduced after the release of successor Galaxy S7, but it can give stiff competition to many new smartphones.

Just like the LG G4, the Galaxy S6 also packs in top-notch features. The Galaxy device has a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display and packs in the same pixels at the LG G4.

An Exynos 7 chipset and 3 GB of RAM powers the device. The Galaxy S6 is available with 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB internal storage options. Unfortunately, the memory of the mobile phone cannot be increased as it lacks a microSD card slot.

It has a 16-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel selfie camera.

The Galaxy S6 is pre-installed with Android 5.1 Lollipop and it has received Android 6.0 Marshmallow in many parts of the world. Not all carriers in the U.S. have rolled the new software update for the Galaxy S6.

The price of the Galaxy S6 has not reduced significantly after the launch of its successor in February this year. Best Buy is offering the unlocked 32GB of the Galaxy S6 for $579.99 and for $1 on a two-contract.

Nexus 5X

The Galaxy S6 and the LG G4 were the flagship models of their respective companies but the Nexus 5X still has impressive specs and is a worthy rival of the iPhone SE.

The handset has a 5.2-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1,080 x 1,920 pixels. The Nexus 5X comes running on a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor and 2 GB of RAM.

The Nexus 5X is available in 16 GB and 32 GB storage models. No option to expand the memory of the device has been one of the biggest complaints of many smartphone enthusiasts.

The Nexus device has 12.-megapixel rear-facing and 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

The Nexus 5X was one of the first smartphones to come running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Nexus devices are also the first devices to get Android software update, which means that Nexus 5X owners will probably be the first ones to get and try the next Android update.

The unlocked 16 GB model of the Nexus 5X is available for $349.99 while the 32 GB version of the phone can be purchased for $399.99 from Best Buy.
