The Division, Salt And Sanctuary And Rocket League Top List Of PS Store March 2016 Best-Selling PS4 Games

Sony has published the PlayStation Store's list of the top-grossing games for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and Vita. Newcomers The Division and Salt and Sanctuary dominated the PS4 charts, while the Uncharted series remained in familiar territory.

Considering Tom Clancy's The Division currently holds the record for the biggest first week for a new franchise, it should come as no surprise that the action role-playing game was the PS Store's best-selling game for the month of March. The Ubisoft game grossed more than $330 million worldwide during its first five days out.

Coming in behind The Division was Ska Studios' Salt and Sanctuary, a 2D hack and slash and role playing-game. Its $18 price tag may have helped it beat out games at or around the standard $60 price, but Salt and Sanctuary has also been receiving strong reviews from critics and consumers alike - it has a cumulative score of 85 out of 100 from the critics, and 8.5 out of 10 from consumers.

Rocket League, MLB The Show 16 and Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition rounded out the PS4's top five for March. The top five games for February were Firewatch, Far Cry Primal, Rocket League, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 and Street Fighter V.

On the PS3 side of things, the Uncharted series surged back near the top of the charts as gamers prepare for the Uncharted 4's release next month. Alice: Madness Returns and The Last of Us kept the trilogy from occupying the top three spots.
