Synopsis For 'Game Of Thrones' Season Six Premiere Is All About The Dead - Especially THAT Death

In just a little over two weeks, HBO will finally premiere the sixth season of the hit drama Game of Thrones and it is about time we finally get to know what will happen to the characters we're rooting for after their fates were left hanging in the last episode of the fifth season.

Season six will be the first season not based on George R.R. Martin's books but the production crew just wanted to make sure that all the viewers are on the same page when the first episode airs by releasing the episode's title and synopsis on April 7.

Season six, episode one is titled "The Red Woman," giving us an idea that Melisandre would either play a key role or have an important message to tell the other characters -- and viewers -- with regard to how things will go.

What about the synopsis? Let's just say they are very straight to the point, especially with the answer to the question that has been on everyone's minds since the Night's Watch went crazy and repeatedly stabbed their own Lord Commander -- seriously, Olly needs to be sent to therapy.

"Jon Snow is dead. Daenerys meets a strong man. Cersei sees her daughter again," the report says.

There is also a brief description for the season premiere:

"[... Survivors] from all parts of Westeros and Essos regroup to press forward, inexorably, towards their uncertain individual fates. Familiar faces will forge new alliances to bolster their strategic chances at survival, while new characters will emerge to challenge the balance of power [...]"

The episode seems like an exhausting one for the characters, especially for the three Houses whose banners have been flying in the promo teasers: House Lannister, Stark and Targaryen, but that only means viewers will once again be treated to an epic ride from beginning to end.

Game of Thrones season six premieres on HBO on April 24.
