Are you brave enough to explore Arklay mansion once more?
Capcom has released a new trailer for its upcoming remake of the first Resident Evil video game. The trailer shows the various S.T.A.R.S. agents, creepy corridors of the mansion and the myriad monsters you will shooting at. In all, it's the typical Resident Evil stuff fans of the series have been missing.
This will be the second time the original game is being remade. There was a 2002 remake for Nintendo's GameCube, which looks to be the starting point for this version. The original Resident Evil debuted on PlayStation 1 in 1996, and it quickly became hit. It started a craze in both survivor horror games and in video games featuring zombies.
The series has had 20+ titles, selling over 61 million games. There is also a successful series of movies, with the sixth film, "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter," expected in 2016.
Capcom also recently announced Resident Evil Revelations 2 for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Xbox One to be released in early 2015. The game is a spinoff of the main series, but with more exploration and puzzle gameplay akin to the first Resident Evil trilogy, rather than action emphasis of the later games.
Resident Evil will be released for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Xbox One in 2015.
