Nas' Hstry Clothing Brand Spawns 'Ghostbusters' Line

Peter Venkman, Raymond Stantz, Egon Spengler, Winston Zeddemore ... and Nasir Jones?

The legendary rapper's Hstry clothing line has teamed up with the Ghostbusters franchise for a special collaboration, which will include long- and short-sleeved T-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, hats and more, all with paranormal touches of the iconic film series.

To drive the announcement all the way home, Nas donned the full Ghostbusters suit, while posing in front of the faction's Ecto-1 vehicle in a video segment captured by Hypebeast.

Turns out that Nas, 42, grew up on the iconic string of movies and was a big fan, making this collaboration all the more special and relevant to him and his upbringing.

"Ghostbusters is every fun thing you can think of when it comes to the imagination, when you think about supernatural or paranormal activity if you're thinking like that as a kid," Nas told Hypebeast live on location during the Ghostbusters-inspired shoot, which featured some of the impending clothing. "What kid doesn't get inspired or intrigued by ghost stories?"

Good point.

Growing up in the gritty Queensbridge housing projects in New York City, Nas could remember being more than happy to escape into fun visuals of the original Ghostbusters back in 1984 as a kid.

"I went to Ghostbusters with my mom. My mom took us — me and my brother," Nas said. "We were just happy to get out to the movie theater. It just took us on a ride. The movie's great. Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray ... those were already some of my guys from Saturday Night Live, so I was already with them. So, going to see a movie like this, I was hyped."

As part of the clip, Nas says that his Hstry clothing line was originally started as a hobby and not as a splashy entry into the fashion world. Well, this collaboration is bound to bring several of different sets of eyes to his clothing movement.

Before the clip ends, Nas motions to the Ecto-1 behind him ... except it was removed out of the huge lot by the time he did, triggering him to say, "Oh, they took the cars. They vanished like ghosts."
