It's been a couple of days since Madden NFL 15 was released and that's more than enough time for die-hard fans to play through EA Sport's latest offering. The verdict? If it's out there on the field, it's going to be in the game.
That means that Madden NFL 15 will be unrelenting. It's the most difficult of all Madden games ever released, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It simply means that a challenge is waiting for anyone who plays the game. Madden NFL 15 is also different from other Madden games in that it focuses on defensive play.
Good defense is always a good thing and Madden NFL 15 starts teams off with clear defensive focus. Think alongt the lines of how even the highly offensive Denver Broncos took the time to highlight DeMarcus Ware, Aqib Talib, and T.J. Ward this year. The game takes a page from what's really happening on the field to boast some of the deepest as well as most diverse defensive plays ever seen in Madden NFL history, complete with dedicated camera showing the defense's point of view.
By essentially taking real-world happenings on the field, from the opening kickoff until the clock runs out (even Eli Manning's "Manning Face" is captured exactly), and bringing them directly to Madden players, the game basically perfects the NFL experience for anyone who picks up the title.
Well, almost perfects it at least.
While Madden NFL 15 gives players a truly rich experience of the NFL, it still has a few kinks to work out. Some of the most pressing issues reported include: wins and losses not being recorded in head-to-head games on Online Franchise Mode; Madden Ultimate Team codes that can't be redeemed; and inaccessible servers. EA is aware of these glitches and has said that it's working on resolving them as soon as possible.
On the lighter side of things, a glitch in Madden NFL 15 has players on the field randomly flying up in the air. It's funny but it can be frustrating, most especially when a play is in progress and players need every member of their team to, well, be on the field. High-leaping linebackers have plagued previous Madden games but this glitch just literally goes over the top.
Madden NFL 15 is available on the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4.
