Velocity 2X and Joe Danger are free on PlayStation Plus for September: Quality free games lacking?

PlayStation Plus free games for the month of September has been announced and previewed by Sony, but not all are happy about what they are getting. The games in question are pretty decent, but probably getting negativity because they are not blockbuster titles.

When it comes down to PlayStation 4 members, they will get the chance to download the likes of Velocity 2X and Sportsfriends. We have to say that Velocity 2X is a wonderful game, so the looks shouldn't be a reason for giving it a difficult time. The game is not easy and it requires the player to have fast reflexes for most situations.

On the matter of Sportsfriends, we can't say much about the title other than it is designed for living room parties. It's a multiplayer title with several game modes available to the player, or players. The game is also available for PS Plus subscribers on the PlayStation 3.

PS Vita owners are the luckier bunch, as they are up for getting a maximum of 4 games for September. Velocity 2X is one of them, along with TxK, Joe Danger, and PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.

The best of the four titles would have to be Joe Danger and Velocity 2X. PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale is an OK game, but it is more of a Super Smash Bros. rip off than anything else. We expect PS Vita fans to have a lot of fun with Joe Danger, though, for those who have played the game on the PlayStation 3 before; it might not be as enjoyable.

Sony has been doing a great job with PlayStation Plus, though; we must admit that the service has been quite disappointing for those with a PlayStation 4. Even Microsoft's Games with Gold is doing a better job in providing more quality games; it's even more exciting because Xbox One players get to keep those games even if they choose to stop paying their Xbox Live subscription.

We hope Sony comes with better games for the PlayStation 4 in the coming months, because many players have grown tired of all the Indie games being dished out in the last couple of months.
