Greedo Shoots First And Nien Nunb Has A Turret In 'Star Wars Battlefront' Outer Rim DLC Trailer

Star Wars Battlefront's first major expansion, Outer Rim, is set to include a variety of new maps, weapons, gadgets and heroes for players to take for a spin, and a new trailer for the DLC shows it all.

It begins with a reunion between archenemies Greedo and Han Solo. Never mind that Han already shot and killed Greedo in the Mos Eisley Cantina, but the two rogues are back at it again in this DLC, as Greedo is introduced as a new playable hero for the Empire.

Looks like he will have a handy blaster and grenades just like a normal soldier, only with the added ability to lock on and gun down multiple opponents at once, Red Dead Redemption style. Something tells us Greedo was never supposed to be this good of a shot.

As for Nien Nunb, his moveset is a little more mysterious. Considering we barely get to see the character outside of the Millennium Falcon, much less in battle, in the films, it looks like EA has taken some creative liberties for the Rebel fighter. He can be seen using a remote turret in the trailer to mow down Imperial forces, but other than that, his abilities still remain a mystery.

Outside of the new heroes, we also get a look at the various new maps, weapons and Star Cards players will be able to use, as well as the new Extraction game type. This mode has Rebel players escorting important supplies across the map by standing near them, with the opposing Imperial forces looking to prevent them from doing so. It's not the most original idea for a game type, but it looks like it could be fun.

New weapons look to be equally entertaining. A mini-shotgun, a new blaster pistol, new rifle and a charge-to-fire weapon that creates an impressive electrical explosion can all be seen in the trailer, as the Rebels and Empire wage war in Jabba's palace and the factories of Sullust for supremacy.

Star Wars Battlefront's Outer Rim DLC arrives on March 22 for season pass holders, which, in case you forgot, costs $50.
