On March 8, a Ukranian trailer for the new "Ghostbusters" got leaked online and though we don't speak Ukranian ourselves, one thing is for sure -- it featured a whole lot more of Chris Hemsworth than the official U.S. trailer which officially introduced us to the all-female team.
Hemsworth plays the secretary or office-lackey, Kevin, who is this film's counterpart of the original's most loyal, lovable and bespectacled Janine.
Sony has since released a legal version of the international trailer with audio in English. Although it is 30 seconds shorter, many observers note that it packs in more funnies, shows director Paul Feig's style of comedy and features pretty boy Hemsworth more.
Hemsworth was allowed to keep his natural Aussie accent for the role which even Kristen Wiig's character couldn't help but swoon when he first came in and said, "I'm here about the receptionist job."
And while the focus of the movie is obviously very much on the women, Hemsworth does his job of being the eye-candy quite comfortably.
He even gets in a few comedic moments himself as he suggests that the women add boobs to their version of the "Ghostbusters" logo. Hmmm, how about we pass on that suggestion, Kevin?
But we also know from the Lego playset as well as from the set photos that Kevin will be donning the "Ghostbusters" updated jumper and take the Ecto-2 vehicle into battle against some ghosts. We also get passing glimpses of him wearing the uniform in the international trailer as well.
According to Feig, Hemsworth as Kevin certainly does more than suggest inappropriate logos and looks pretty on screen.
"By the end of the movie, there's quite a bit that Kevin does," he told Empire magazine.
"Ghostbusters" will star Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones as the all-new team who aren't afraid of ghosts.
