Man of Steel divided more than a few fans with its closing moments, as Superman and Zod destroyed half of Metropolis in a battle that eventually resulted in Zod's death. However, if a new "unofficial" review from one writer who has seen Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is true, fans may find even more to be divided about in Zack Snyder's sequel.
Anthony Breznican is a writer for Entertainment Weekly who has already seen the clash of the DC's two most popular heroes on the big screen. Though he isn't officially reviewing the film, he did recently take to Twitter to voice some of his impressions and thoughts on the movie. Don't worry, there aren't any spoilers here.
Breznican then goes into a little more detail about what fans can expect from the film. He says those who loved Man of Steel will love Batman v Superman, and that those who enjoyed the first film up until the end will find that Batman v Superman redeems some of that.
However, if you hated Man of Steel, Breznican says Batman v Superman is more of the same, as in it's grim and dark. Other thoughts he had on the film include that Wonder Woman is fearsome, Batman and Superman have a moment that may bring a tear to your eye, he enjoyed the film's score (especially Wonder Woman and Lex Luthor's themes) and that fans will have plenty to discuss and fight over once the credits roll.
In that regard, it sounds like Batman v Superman will be just as divisive as the first film, but we'll have to wait for official reviews to learn more. Unfortunately, Breznican didn't reveal who won the fight between the two heroes. That's something fans will have to see for themselves when Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on March 25.
