How amazing would it be to paid to travel, stream Netflix series and be on Instagram all day? Well, the Internet-based streaming platform is making this dream job a reality.
Netflix announced that it is hiring four lucky people to become their new "Grammaster" social media reps who will be paid $4,000 for posting pictures taken on sets of popular shows, films and Netflix original series.
The job will only last for two weeks, but along with getting two pay checks of $2,000 each, those who land the job will be flying to Europe and the Middle East to work, with all travel expenses paid for.
Job duties of a Netflix Grammaster include traveling to various locations to snap photos of iconic movie and TV locations, as well as potentially conducting interviews and making media appearances. Not only will the candidates have to have a passion for entertainment, but they also must have a real talent for taking pictures.
To find its next Grammasters, Netflix is holding a contest. Those interested in applying must first follow @Netflix on Instagram, and use the hashtag #grammasters3 on three of their best photos that show off their photography skills on the social media app by March 6. The photos must not feature anything that has a copyright, trademark or logo, and may not include other people besides the Instagrammer. Instead, applications are encouraged to "show off your interests or passions."
Applicants must be 21 years old or older and have a mobile phone with a public Instagram account.
Netflix will first select 25 finalists around March 26 via Instagram. Those chosen must then complete the paperwork Netflix sends for the job. Netflix may then conduct telephone or Skype interviews with the finalists, as well as have them upload more photos to their Instagram that include the user recreating a theme, location or scene from a movie.
The company will then narrow down the finalists, and select 4 winners who will be hired for the Instagram job.
This isn't the first time Netflix has held a Grammaster contest. Netflix previously hired three people to go around the U.S. and take photos on the sets of House of Cards, Gossip Girl, Twin Peaks and Dexter in 2014.
