It looks likes the Genie from "Aladdin" and "Mrs. Doubtfire" are coming to World of Warcraft.
Robin Williams was a gamer and played the popular online roleplaying game regularly. Fans of World of Warcraft immediately asked the game's creator, Blizzard, to add a tribute to him into the game. The company responded that they will take care of it, and it seems like they already started that process.
A WoW fansite named WoWhead has gone through the preview code for the upcoming expansion Warlords of Draenor and found three characters named "Robin the Entertainer." One is a blue genie, referencing his classic character from Disney's animated film "Aladdin." Another is a simple man and the last is an old lady.
WoWhead speculated, "We think the female one is a reference to 'Mrs Doubtfire.' Perhaps he'll tell jokes in Draenor and have costume changes?"
Fans had suggested to Blizzard that a fitting tribute would be perhaps adding Robin into a tavern or pub where he could do stand-up and continue to entertain people.
Other WoW players noted that the Genie model is an old one, that it is far too angry or combative to represent Robin Williams. Of course, that may just be a placeholder until an updated genie model is added to the final version of the expansion.
And since this is likely just a glimpse into the tribute for Robin Williams that Blizzard is putting together, Robin the Entertainer may be more than just an NPC in a tavern. Perhaps he will be part of a quest line in the expansion? Maybe there will be other models and other references to his career.
Robin Williams died on August 11. The actor and comedian had been entertaining people since his stand-up days in the '70s, to his television show "Mork and Mindy," to the dozen of films he starred in over the decades.
The World of Warcraft expansion Warlords of Draenor will be released on November 13.
