Does The Business Card Of Marvel's Editor-In-Chief Reveal Spider-Man's 'Captain America: Civil War' Costume?

The Marvel Cinematic Universe debut of Spider-Man is currently one of the most closely-guarded secrets in Hollywood. Though the character is set to make his first appearance in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War, Marvel doesn't look to be revealing the character's new costume any time soon, leaving fans to wildly speculate on what the web crawler will look like — unless Marvel's Editor-in-Chief let one slip, that is.

Hybrid Network recently received a business card from Marvel boss Axel Alonso, and it's unique in a number of ways. The card features Captain America, Black Panther, Hulk, Black Widow, Star Lord and Iron Man all sporting their costumes from the Marvel films. Curiously, Spider-Man is also on the image, leading some to believe this may, in fact, be our first look at the hero's new movie costume. You can check it out for yourself below.

If it is Peter Parker's new look, it's more than a little underwhelming. The costume looks exactly like you would expect Spider-Man to look, with almost nothing to distinguish it from his normal comic book costume. With that in mind, we're going to assume that this is just a generic image of Spider-Man and not what he will look like in the film.

Previous rumors about Spidey's new costume came from upcoming merchandise tied to the film. A Spider-Man hoodie featured a more chaotic web pattern than we've normally seen from Spider-Man costumes, though it remains to be seen if the actual costume in the film will sport a similar design. In fact, it's currently unknown if Spider-Man will even have his official costume in the movie. Instead, the character could be sporting a homemade costume or even his Iron Spider look from the Civil War comics.

Long story short: we just don't know what Spider-Man will look like in his MCU debut, and we probably shouldn't assume that his generic-looking appearance on this business card is proof of anything more than Peter Parker being one of Marvel's most iconic characters. If nothing else, fans won't have to wait too long to get a peek at the new Spider-Man. Captain America: Civil War is in theaters May 6.
