Last year, Chris Bosh had his season cut short by nearly 30 games due to a scary, potentially life-threatening bout with blood clots in his lungs.
Well, the Miami Heat's All-Star forward has been sidelined again — this time for two weeks — with the franchise's executives remaining relatively tight-lipped about the medical condition that's ailing Bosh or whether it's a return bout with the blood clots.
That being said, he continues to work out with the team, with Dwyane Wade even telling ESPN on Tuesday that Bosh "gets on the court, shoots [a few] jump shots and gets a little sweat in" and that "he's still a big part of this team. As I've said before, he's around, and he's in good spirits."
Nevertheless, NBA 2K16 is using the mystery surrounding Bosh's medical condition as a way to have a little fun. Polygon is reporting that the popular title's career mode, which features a fictitious Twitter feed, has gone on to link Bosh's absence to a certain hit Harrison Ford movie from the early 1990s — The Fugitive.
"Chris Bosh [framed for murder of wife by one-armed man], expects to play against Hawks," the injury report for the Heat All-Star hilariously reads in the game's social media feed.
Classic.

The Twitter feed, @NBAInjuryR3port, has been cooking up such hilarious tweets for quite some time, too.
As further examples of their hilarity:
That being said, evoking The Fugitive in any context related to an injury report and then having it appear in the actual game as a joke, takes the cake.
Hey, for what it's worth, let's give credit to Bosh for still hanging around the team during this mysterious ailment.
"It's just unbelievable how much he's into it and how much he's invested," Heat forward Luol Deng told ESPN. "A lot of guys could just stay at home and wait and see what happens."
Very true.
