International Space Station Astronauts Escape With Their Lives From A Gorilla - Well, Not Quite

The International Space Station seemed to be under attack in an alarming video released today. In a video posted on the Twitter page of Scott Kelly's twin brother, Mark Kelly, a gorilla is seen terrorizing British astronaut Tim Peake around the station.

No, it's not a space gorilla from Mars. The suit was actually sent to the ISS by Mark in a care package for Scott who is on the last leg of his year in space.

Like a reel from a Benny Hill show, Scott and Peake have some fun with the gorilla suit in zero-gravity and show that life aboard the ISS can get pretty interesting.

Scott in the gorilla suit emerges from a white box in the middle of the ISS and, along to some old-school comedy music, begins to wreak havoc. Peake floats in circles around the station as he attempts to flee from his great ape pursuer. The chase could loop on all day in the gravity-less environment!

Scott is scheduled to return to Earth in March after spending one year in space. NASA hopes that his mission will allow them to measure the effects of long-term space travel on astronauts.

He began his mission on March 27, 2015 and, aside from some very important work and research for NASA, has also been entertaining space buffs with videos from the ISS, including watching the award-winning film “Gravity” in space, spectacular photos of Earth as seen from the station, the first flowers to bloom in space, playing water ping-pong and his station mates paying tribute to David Bowie from beyond the stars.
