Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl reenacts 'Carrie' scene in Ice Bucket Challenge for ALS

The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has been sweeping the nation as friends and family take the proverbial plunge to help raise awareness for the deadly disease. The challenge is simple: get a bucket of ice water with cubes poured on your head. Naturally, to increase awareness, celebrities have gotten into the mix challenging bigger and bigger stars to take part in the viral ice bucket challenge.

Your Facebook and Twitter feeds may be blowing up with old friends and family smart phone videos of the challenge this week, and well-known celebs are joining in the ice cold shenanigans. In the most recent video, Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl took the challenge from pal Zac Brown. Not to be outdone, Grohl went above and beyond creating a short film spoofing the Stephen King film "Carrie." The hysterical three minute clip cuts together the late '70s horror classic with an in drag Grohl getting dumped on by a massive bucket of ice and freezing water.

Now that Grohl has finished the challenge in the most creative way yet, he challenged horror author Stephen King, actor John Travolta and actor/comedian Jack Black. It is hard to imagine anyone outdoing Grohl, but the higher up the Hollywood food chain the challenge goes, the more dramatic the attempts to ice themselves may be. To one-up Grohl, the guys he challenged are going to need an actual production budget!

ALS or as it is commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease is Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.
