Skype just got an assist from one of music's all-time greats — Sir Paul McCartney.
On Wednesday, the legendary artist helped the company introduce a new set of love-inspired Mojis, all set to unique music compositions from McCartney himself.
"I was asked by Skype to put some music to some Mojis that they have created, especially for Valentine's Day," McCartney explains in a short clip that Skype uploaded to its YouTube account Wednesday. "At first, I thought, 'Hmm...strange proposition. Is this for me?' Then I thought, 'You know what ... why not? Something fun, something nice and new. So, I did. I put music to these things. It was really challenging to do."
The end product are some unique GIFs tuned to the sound of McCartney's compositions. Overall, the Mojis are designed to help add a whole new level of personality — not to mention, spread love — to your Skype chats and of course getting the helping hand from one of music's all-time greats, doesn't hurt.
"Paul genuinely loves Skype and, inspired by our existing Mojis, was excited to lend his voice to the Mojis family," Skype said, as part of its announcement Wednesday. "Likewise, we were over the moon to work with Paul, and it was a great creative challenge for us to create the animations to compliment his legendary sound."
McCartney's creative process behind crafting the compositions for Skype's Mojis can be seen below.
Those using the latest Skype app for Mac, Android, Windows or iOS will see this new set of Love Mojis, as they begin to be made available for use.
