On his way, Yoda is. Electronic Arts' (EA) turn-based strategy game, Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, finally welcomes Grand Master Yoda beginning Feb. 11, along with some new updates. But be warned: if you already know how Yoda is, then you should expect that it is not that easy for players to acquire him with just simple plays.
Test you, Yoda will. The only way to obtain the Jedi Grand Master is for players have to unlock him by playing the "Grand Master's Training Event" but it won't be easy. During the event, players can earn Grand Master Yoda shards, Credits and Crystals and, if a player completes majority of the challenges, they can unlock Yoda.
But wait, there's more! It's great for a player's team to have Yoda on its side but there is an even better prize at stake because players have the chance to win the ultimate prize of a Seven-star Grand Master Yoda by challenging him directly.
Now here's the catch: the only way to directly challenge Grand Master Yoda for the chance to win the ultimate prize is to form a team of purely 7-star Jedi and win in all the difficulty tiers. Hey, no one ever said it was easy and we're pretty sure "Star Wars" fans and players know that Yoda's training sessions are challenging, to say the least.
Now here's the additional good news about the latest update: Galaxy of Heroes is now more player-friendly than ever with the helpful additions EA added. There is now a Shard Shop which players can access to trade in their extra shards for shards they need. This is especially helpful when the only shards a player has in his or her inventory is for an already maxed-out character. Players can now trade those extras for new character shards.
Another helpful addition is the opponent team preview. Now players can preview the entire team of another player before challenging them in a Player versus Player (PvP) game. That way, players can customize their team for a better chance at winning.
There is also a new "Gear Found Notifications" window which will allow players to see if they have finally acquired a certain gear they have been looking for to equip their characters with.
EA also fixed the bugs in the game and, as a bonus, improved some of the visuals.
