In Fire Emblem Fates, the upcoming set of games for the Nintendo 3DS, players have a ton of options for their protagonists. Gender, hair style and color, a couple of different builds … it can be a bit overwhelming.
Thankfully, someone’s gone and made a Web app with all the different options so folks can prepare for the North American release on Feb. 19.
Called Kamui Customizer, the app by developer LuminescentBlade specifically features options for gender and build, face, hair color, facial features and hair clip, should someone pick one of two female builds. It’s fairly simple, but the suite of options means there are dozens of combinations from which to pick. Why wait until confronted with all these options in the game itself when you can figure out exactly what you want ahead of time?
Even better? The final version isn’t left to languish in the Web app. Folks can easily export and save the look to refer back to whenever they want. When Fire Emblem Fates — which is composed of the distinct video games Conquest and Birthright — launches on Feb. 19, it’ll be easy to slot in all the appropriate options in the real thing.
It’s worth noting that, while the game has seen some localization changes for the American market after releasing last year in Japan, the character customization should be comparable to what was previously available. Just don’t expect to be petting the player’s avatar at any point.
