Latest iPhone 7 Render Reveals Ceramic Back, Waterproof Body And Super AMOLED Screen

Apple's next big thing, the iPhone 7, has yet to be unveiled at least seven months from today, yet the rumor mill regarding this hotly anticipated device has already been churning at full speed. A new report from Business Korea revealed the latest iPhone 7 render, which shows the device fitted with a ceramic back, waterproof body, super AMOLED screen and more.

Straight off the bat, the render shows that the device will employ a Super AMOLED panel. Previous rumors suggest that the company is not expected to use an AMOLED display until 2019 at the earliest. In fact, Ming-Chi Kuo, a trustworthy analyst at KGI Securities, was even quoted as saying that Apple will still use LCD screens in its iPhones through 2018.

Another significant rumor is the possibility of using ceramic as a material, and the rendered image showing a ceramic body is based on that. It's also possible that Apple will do away with the antenna bands, which quite a few users believe are unsightly. This somehow corroborates with another render that dominated headlines last week, which suggests that Apple is veering away from the antenna lines for the iPhone 7.

If the render is accurate, it also seems that Apple has also decided to make its iPhone 7 waterproof, a first for the company.

The render also shows a slew of other rumored modifications, such as the absence of a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a boosted Touch ID. The iPhone 7 is likewise said to sport a new metal frame.

With regard to its shooter, the phone is still expected to rock a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera. Fans will also be delighted to know that the iPhone 7 may use high-speed charging technology. On top of that, it is said to house an A10 processor which is, indeed, a welcome treat for solid fans.

To boil things down, the leaked render implies that the next-generation iPhone will arrive with a carousel of new, nifty features and specs.

As with all speculations about the next-generation iPhone, it is best to take the news with a bit of salt. At any rate, it would be interesting to see all these specs and features come to fruition when the iPhone 7 arrives sometime in mid-September. For now, let's wait for the release of the highly anticipated 4-inch iPhone 5se, which is believed to come out in March.
