Although the Super Bowl is one of the biggest days of the year for football fans, it's also the biggest day of the year for advertising, with some of the ads that manage to get precious airtime being movie trailers for films coming out later that year.
Super Bowl 2016 is no different, with movie studios having quickly bought up spots during what is the most-watched sports event of the year.
Although there are no guarantees as to which movies get trailers during the event, reports are in that this year will include two 30-second trailers from Fox, with Universal grabbing a single 60-second spot, Paramount buying one 30-second ad and Disney grabbing "multiple spots."
Some of those companies have already confirmed which movies they plan on promoting, too. Here's a list of confirmed movie trailers viewers will see during Super Bowl 2016.
Please note that, as of yet, Warner Bros. and Sony have reportedly not bought ads for the Super Bowl. So, don't expect to see a trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice or Suicide Squad, unless of course, Warner Bros. has just kept super quiet about its Super Bowl ad acquisitions.
Deadpool
Deadpool is everywhere, so it's no surprise that he'll also appear at the Super Bowl, promoting his movie that comes out on Feb. 12. In addition to a new trailer, Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds will also be on hand at the game to give out chimichangas, Deadpool's favorite snack.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows
The pizza-craving turtles will appear in a new trailer during Super Bowl 50 in a 30-second spot. The new movie, which also stars Arrow star Stephen Amell as Casey Jones, will arrive in theaters on June 3.
Alice Through the Looking Glass
This is just one of many Disney movies that will get a trailer during the Super Bowl, although it's the only one confirmed so far by that studio. Disney even jumped the gun by posting the trailer online early. The film, a follow-up to Disney's previous live-action Alice in Wonderland movie, opens on May 27.
Bourne 5
Although Bourne 5 doesn't have an official title yet, it still gets the Super Bowl ad treatment this year. Eric Van Lustbader, the author of several Jason Bourne novels, let it slip on Facebook that the first footage from the movie would appear during this year's Super Bowl. That post eventually got deleted, but it certainly makes sense that a trailer will turn up.
Zoolander 2
Zoolander 2 arrives on Feb. 12, so it's no big surprise that the Ben Stiller-helmed comedy movie will also get a trailer at this year's big football event. Expect to see both Stiller and co-star Owen Wilson posing seductively for the camera during the trailer for the sequel to the hit 2001 film.
X-Men: Apocalypse
In addition to Deadpool, Fox also plans on unveiling a new trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse. So far, fans only have one trailer to go on, which released in December, so expect to see some new footage from the movie that opens in theaters on May 27.
So far, these are the only movie trailers confirmed for the Super Bowl, but other big movies coming up this year might also get some attention, including The Jungle Book, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Captain America: Civil War and Ghostbusters 3.
The Super Bowl airs on Feb. 7 on CBS at 5:30 p.m. EST.
