Facebook's annual developer conference is now open for registration. F8 is a two-day affair slated to start on April 12 in San Francisco, and is highly anticipated by the developer community.
Facebook has lined up a number of activities that developers can expect from the event. There is also an after party at the end of the first conference day in order for attendees to get to know and socialize with other developers.
"Come meet with other developers and innovators who are excited about connecting the world!" Facebook says. "Each year at F8, we unveil new products, share our vision for the future and engage with the developer community."
The conference on Day 1 will start at 10 a.m. and will be formally opened with a keynote from no less than Mark Zuckerberg. For this part, Zuckerberg will talk about how Facebook helps developers in building, growing and monetizing success as well as what developers can expect to see in the future.
After the brief half-hour lunch and welcoming the media, the conference will have a number of sessions, which include talks on News Feed, Messenger, React Native and Free Basics Platform.
There will also be talks on Android Apps, Facebook Lite and Facebook Business Pages. The next half hour will then be spent on discussing Graph API, News Publishers and Readers, WhatsApp, and Immutable Objects.
Moreover, topics like Growth Marketing VR, Facebook Login, Facebook Video, Quartz Composer, Facebook Analytics and more will be discussed too.
By 4:30 p.m. the closing panel will be the penultimate to the after party or "Happy Hour," which is scheduled a little past 5 p.m.
On Day 2, some of the talks that attendees can expect include the 360 Video and its technology, enhancing engagement through social plugins, enhancing Instagram to promote usage, and native advertising and its best practices.
Besides Facebook and TV App integration; and Video Streaming on Facebook, participants can look forward to finding out more about Oculus with optimized 360 video.
"This is an event that Facebook looks forward to hosting every year. We're excited to have an opportunity to hear and share stories with you, our developer community," said Facebook.
To avoid missing any of the scheduled activities, developers are encouraged to register early because of the limited space in the event.
Those who cannot attend in person can still join all the sessions and witness the live interviews by going to the F8 video page to register and then stream the event live for free.
