EA Sports has quite the gift for gamers entering the week of Super Bowl Sunday.
Late last week, the video game developer announced that its Madden NFL 16 title will be arriving to the Vault on Tuesday as part of its EA Access membership, just in time for Super Bowl 50 between the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos live from Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. on Sunday.
The experience will start with gamers in their own personal war room under the title's all-new Draft Champions mode. There, gamers will construct their best team with NFL stars and legends, vying for on-field aerial dominance.
The game's new quarterback mechanics allow body-relative throws combined with the ability to touch and roll out passes, giving gamers depth and control under center and in the pocket. The competition is bolstered with a new risk/reward catch and pass-defend system that EA is touting.
In addition, playing Madden NFL 16 as part of EA Access membership will also allow you to utilize the Madden Ultimate Team of stars and legends, competing in online head-to-head sessions against other gamers' Ultimate squads. The customization of these squads gets down to the most minute details from the team's uniforms to their playbooks, giving you a final say in every decision about your squad.
Madden NFL 16 joining the Vault marks perhaps the biggest sports title to be involved in EA Access thus far. In addition to getting your thumbs tapping to new features, the membership also allows avid gamers to play upcoming EA titles before they're released, saving 10 percent on all digital purchases from the company.
