Gamers will be happy to know that Electronic Arts aims to bring new titles in its popular Battlefield, Mass Effect and Titanfall series by March 31, 2017.
The gaming company revealed the information during its latest financial statement.
During the financial briefing, EA also shared a couple things about its latest shooter, Star Wars Battlefront, with the media. Apparently, the game "surpassed EA's fiscal year guidance," meaning that the company shipped 13 million units to retail stores before 2015 even ended.
Even if this does not guarantee 13 million sold copies, the vendor's interest for the game is a pretty good indicator of its increased popularity.
The good news doesn't end here.
"In Q1, we'll begin with the creative and innovative Mirror's Edge Catalyst from DICE launching in May," the statement reads (via EuroGamer).
The company went on to say that EA Sports works hard to roll out big titles in its fiscal year 2017, which means between April 2016 and March 2017.
According to EA's notice, DICE is preparing to wrap up Battlefield 5 in 2016, ahead of Christmas.
"An all-new Battlefield game [...] will arrive in time for the holidays," EA notes.
Where Titanfall fans are concerned, Respawn Entertainment promised to bring the second installment of the game on multiple ecosystems. The first Titanfall only landed on Xbox One, but was such a hit that the developers decided to let other platforms join the blasting fun for the next game.
"We're excited to have a new Titanfall experience coming from our friends at Respawn," EA touts.
Global allies of Commander Shepard, meanwhile, will know more about the Mass Effect: Andromeda before E3 2016. EA will not have a booth at E3 2016, instead opting for a full-on event of its own where fans can get a hands-on experience of the upcoming titles.
"Mass Effect Andromeda from the team at BioWare will launch later in the fiscal year," says EA.
Seeing how both Battlefield and Titanfall are first-person shooters, it would make sense for their release dates to be some time apart. Based on this idea and the former announcement, gamers should be able to enjoy Titanfall 2 sometime at the beginning of 2017.
When looking at the size and scope of former Mass Effect titles, and seeing how Andromeda is the debut of another cycle in the sci-fi universe, we would rather wait a few extra months and get a polished product.
As soon as we have more details about EA's upcoming titles, we will let you know.
