Amazon Echo’s Alexa Now Equipped With Movie, Super Bowl Knowledge

Will it be Tom Brady and his New England Patriots or Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos punching their ticket to Super Bowl 50 this Sunday?

Will Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers continue their amazing year by rolling to the Super Bowl or will Carson Palmer and the Arizona Cardinals pull off the slight upset?

These questions will be answered as part of the NFL's Championship Sunday, deciding the two Super Bowl teams.

But you can always ask Alexa what she thinks, too, though. On the road to Super Bowl 50, which is on February 7, Amazon Echo has empowered Alexa with sports acumen and impending movie knowledge, as reported by Slash Gear.

So, you'll be able to ask Alexa who she likes to win in the Championship Sunday games and the Super Bowl and she'll respond with an informed prediction.

If you're not so much of a sports fan, but love the movies, you'll be glad to know that Alexa will soon be able to field movie queries to general questions like "what movies are playing?" or even down to the details of "what horror movies are playing this Friday?"

While the movie update is expected to arrive soon, the sports update can be accessed through Alexa's settings menu. Included in the sports update will be bolstered information from professional sports leagues including the NFL, NBA, WNBA, MLB, NHL, and NCAA Division I football and basketball.
