If you're the type to run nothing but bulky, demanding applications — and have $3,200 to spare — Microsoft has the apt 2-in-1 for you.
On Friday, the company launched its most-powerful Surface Book yet, touting 1TB of storage with its sixth-generation Intel Core i7 processor and 16GB of RAM, now available in the United States and Canada. That type of storage will cost you, though, as Microsoft has slapped a price tag of $3,199.00 for the new unit.
If that's too much for you, but you're still looking for a high-powered Surface, perhaps the Surface Pro 4, which was also released Friday, is your best bet. That model will give users the same 1TB of storage, running on an Intel i7 processor and 16GB of RAM, but for $2,699.00.
As part of its new releases, Microsoft decided to also make a special gold Surface Pen available for $59.99 as well.
That could be deemed as strange, considering each of the Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 comes equipped with the Surface Pen (in regular silver) and that Microsoft decided to make a special gold pen without having a gold Surface. But there's no rules, when it comes to splashing colors on accessories.
The Surface Book is available via online-only Microsoft Stores and other select retailers, while the Surface Pro 4 will be available in Microsoft Stores and other retailers.
