‘Far Cry Primal’ Unveils New Trailer And Behind-The-Scenes To Get You All Riled Up

Ubisoft has published not one but two videos of "Far Cry Primal" – a new trailer and behind-the-scenes footage for a closer look at the game.

In the game, players will take on the role of Takkar, the last surviving huntsman of his tribe that was brutally massacred. He is given the sole task of surviving in the savage and majestic land of Oros, and to do so, he will have to bring back the Wenja tribe from the ashes and make friends with wild animals while going against enemy groups.

Aside from being a hunter, Takkar is also a beastmaster, where an owl can serve as a scout or a saber-toothed tiger as a trusty sidekick in battle, to mention a few. He also makes use of tools and weapons such as primitive explosives, bows and arrows, clubs and many others for combat.

Trailer

With beasts, action and the tribespeople in the center of the story, the trailer leaves quite an impression. What's more, it dedicated some screen time for the cannibalistic Udam tribe and its leader Ull, who is one of Takkar's biggest foes aside from the high priestess Batari and her fire-worshiping tribe Izila.

It's also worth mentioning that Ubisoft pitched in a lot of effort to make the "Far Cry Primal" as authentic as possible. As seen in the trailer, the language that the characters speak is not English, where the game developer closely worked with linguistic scholars to reproduce a type of Proto Indo-European language.

A Closer Look

Meanwhile, the behind-the-scenes video explains how the team behind "Far Cry Primal" managed to retain the same feel as the previous installments onto the latest one despite a major change in setting. It also touches on some of the game's details and how the developers created a vivid environment for it to take place in.

Availability

"Far Cry Primal" is scheduled to roll out on Feb. 23 to the PS4 and Xbox One. The PC version is set for a March 1 release date.

Considering that it's a sandbox game, players will be able to explore Oros in the Stone Age. Of course, that won't be as easy as it seems, as the vast land is filled with danger lurking around almost every corner.
