Werner Herzog Explores The Human Relationship With Machines In New Documentary

Artificial intelligence is growing at extremely fast rates. But just how fast, and how long until it's almost lifelike? That's what a new documentary directed by Werner Herzog hopes to explore.

The documentary is called Lo And Behold: Reveries Of The Connected World, and its first trailer has just been posted online.

Herzog is an Oscar-nominated filmmaker, and for the documentary he conducted interviews with the likes of Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, as well as Internet TCP/IP co-inventor Bob Kahn.

The trailer explores exactly how fast we have come and how quickly everything has happened.

"This is an extraordinary moment in the life of human beings," said Herzog. "The beginning of connectivity we have not dreamed of a few years ago."

The documentary will premiere at Sundance film festival on Saturday, Jan. 23. You can check out the trailer, which does not include Elon Musk, below.
