Elon Musk tops AskMen’s list of Top 49 Most Influential Men of 2013

Leaders of the tech industry are becoming increasingly popular to the point where they are frequently featured in many top 10 lists on the Internet and in magazines. The latest to hit the web is AskMen's Top 49 Most Influential Men of 2013, and topping this list is no other than Elon Musk. This is the second time a tech leader has featured at the top, and it surely will not be the last.

AskMen's list was determined by more than 100,000 voters who helped propel Elon Musk to the number one spot. Other tech leaders on the list includes Google's Sergey Brin (No. 18), Apple's Jonathan Ive (No. 27), Steve Huffman & Alex Ohanian (No. 14), David Karp (No. 28), Garrett Camp (No. 24), and Bre Pettis (No. 48).

Elon Musk is well known in the tech world as he's the co-founder of the popular online payment system, Paypal, Telsa Motors, and the founder of SpaceX. At the number 2 spot, we have Jason Collins who came out as the first gay NBA player. Furthermore, main star of AMC's hit TV show, Breaking Bad, Bryan Cranston, took the number 3 position. The list also featured Jay-Z (No. 13) and LeBron James (No. 21).

Moreover, Kanye West at No. 41 is the only man to be named on the list all 8 years.

"This year's list shows just how powerful TV has become again - our readers chose more TV actors and hosts than ever before, highlighting their increasing influence on everyday lives, while bankable Hollywood names like Clooney and Depp are absent," said James Bassil, publisher of AskMen.
